Project: COVID-Friendly Content Creation

Objective/Goal:

During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the objective was to sustain the Halloween spirit and engagement while adhering to safety measures. Efforts aimed to maintain excitement, celebrate Halloween in a safe manner, and provide a platform for cosplayers to showcase their talents, promoting exposure and word-of-mouth marketing.

Role and Responsibilities:

As the curator and host of @BlackWomeninCostume, my responsibilities involved conceptualizing, organizing, and executing engaging COVID-friendly content initiatives. This included creating costumes that incorporate masks and hosting an Instagram Live Halloween party.

Collaborations:

Efforts involved collaborating with cosplayers and Halloween enthusiasts, providing them with a platform to display their creativity. The Instagram Live Halloween party aimed to connect the entertainment industry with viewers, fostering a sense of community and festivity during a time when traditional celebrations were disrupted.

Strategies Implemented:

The strategy revolved around delivering engaging content while emphasizing safety measures. This included creating costumes featuring masks to encourage safe practices and hosting an Instagram Live event on Halloween night, providing a space for people to celebrate virtually.

Key Deliverables:

The Instagram content, including videos showcasing costumes with masks and the Halloween party announcement, served as the primary deliverables. These initiatives aimed to sustain engagement, celebrate Halloween, and provide entertainment while adhering to COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Results and Achievements:

The Instagram post showcasing costumes with masks garnered 1,026 likes and 104 saves, indicating positive engagement. While the planned Instagram Live Halloween party did not fully materialize due to resource limitations, the outlined strategy and run of show demonstrated meticulous planning and a commitment to creating an engaging and entertaining event.

Tools and Technologies Used:

Utilized social media platforms, primarily Instagram, to create and share content. Employed communication skills to approach and court potential sponsors, showcasing the value of participating in the Instagram Live event. Despite resource constraints, a detailed run of show was crafted to guide the event, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for participants and viewers.
